Basic job functions:

• Hold a bachelor's degree in the area of Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program in speech-language pathology

• Knowledgeable about IEP development and paperwork

• Enthusiastic, organized, flexible/ability to manage a full caseload of students

• Desire to see ALL students learn and succeed 

• Willingness to complete all job requirements per KDE and DCPS 

Will work under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist to fulfill the basic job duties of:

• Ability to serve as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balanced program for oral communication and speech improvement

• Assists in guiding teachers in observing, describing, referring and identifying students with speech and language impairments

• Provide a therapeutic program to meet individual needs of speech and language impaired children

• Ability to keep ongoing records for the individual student receiving school-based speech therapy

• Adheres to the professional code of ethics

• Maintains regular attendance

• Is familiar with and incorporates the use of technology in daily tasks and therapy

• Positive role model for children

Position may be at multiple schools/locations Salary based on Rank and Experience

All employees must complete: Physical Exam, TB & Drug Screening, Child Abuse & Neglect, Local, Federal and State Background Checks
