QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED
Associate Degree, Minimum of 48 credited college hours or Pass the state approved test
Experience working with students who have hearing impairments in an organized setting
Has met the requirements of a criminal record check as specified by Kentucky State Law and other requirements as specified in district policy.
proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
Demonstrates competent language skills
REPORTS TO: Supervising teacher and principal
JOB GOAL: To assist a certified Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher(s) in providing instruction and /or supervision to an individual student or students with hearing impairments in small groups, monitor student progress, and generally help students be successful across settings.
